Elon Musk: Starlink approved by Nigeria

Starlink a satellite internet service company owned by the world's richest man, Elon Musk is now been approved by Nigeria and Mozambique.

The launching of StarLink in Nigeria was earlier postponed, Enat DigitalBiz learnt that a Starlink representative had met with the Nigeria Communications Company (NCC) in May last year to discuss requirements for an operational license for the SpaceX subsidiary, as it seeks to onboard Nigerians on its subscriber base.

Elon Musk the CEO of the Starlink in his tweet on Friday 27th 2022 announced the approval of Starlink in Nigeria.

 Starlink is a satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX, providing satellite internet access coverage to 32 countries where its use has been licensed. It aims for Global coverage. Starlink started launching satellites in 2019.

Starlink will now be competing with MTN Nigeria, Globacom, Airtel and 9mobile after launching its service in Nigeria and its subscriber base is expected to hit half a million before the year ends, up from 69,000 it had last year.
